Revamped Dilapidated Community Bore Hole, At Amaukwu Obilofia Imo-State
Between 2020 and 2021, with the permission of the community, we undertook a transformative project in Amaukwu Obilofia, located in Ubogwu, Awo-Omamma, within the Oru East Local Government Area in Imo State, Nigeria. Our efforts were focused on revitalizing the severely deteriorated community borehole. This endeavor involved several crucial steps, beginning with the replacement of the faulty solar/electricity-powered sumo pump that had been rendering the borehole nonfunctional.
Additionally, we took the initiative to dismantle the old, corroded metal overhead tank, which was no longer serving its purpose effectively. In its place, we installed larger plastic tanks, providing the community with improved water storage capacity to better meet their needs.
Furthermore, recognizing the importance of modernization, we upgraded the outdated plumbing works to a contemporary plumbing system. This enhancement ensures the efficient distribution of water throughout the community, promoting a more reliable and sustainable water supply for everyone.
The Unwavering Commitment of the Family Hood Organization
Once these essential changes were implemented, we proudly handed the fully revamped borehole back to the community. Our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of the residents remains unwavering. This project stands as a testament to our dedication to community development, particularly in the vital aspect of water accessibility.
